We completed the challenge!

From Land’s End on July 27th

We set off with fine weather on day one at 10 am on 27th July through Cornwall reaching Launceston. We passed through Somerset via Taunton and Street on day 2 reaching Bath – a ride of 138 miles. Days 3 and 4 took us through the midlands via Gloucester, Ledbury, Tetbury and Shrewsbury reaching Chester. The weather turned foul through Warrington and Preston and the Lake District on day 5 – another long ride of 128 miles.

John O’Groats on 5th August

From Ullwater via Carlisle into Scotland on day 6 to Dumfries and Galloway. On day 7 we cycled through Glasgow and along Loch Lomand to Ardlui and in better weather a lovely day through the Great Glen via Fort Willian to Fort Augustus on day 8. On the penultimate day we cycled along Lock Ness to Inverness and along the north east coast to Wick - a distance of 140miles - leaving only 17 miles left on the last day reaching John O’Groats before 10 am on August 5th. We suffered a broken pedal, 4 puntures and lots of blisters!

We believe we have so far raised in the region of £ 2000 - £3000 Thank you once again for your kind support ! Adrian Bridge and Chris and Mark Wills
