NeST LogoThe Nephrotic Syndrome Trust, or NeST, was set up in 2005 by trustee David Yearsley whose son James sufferers from the disease.

NeST LogoNephrotic Syndrome affects around 10,000 people in the UK. Doctors do not fully understand the cause and there is currently no known cure. But a dedicated team at the specialist Kidney Unit at Bristol Children's hospital is researching the disorder in hope of finding a cure.

NeST LogoThis research work is funded solely by charitable donations and grants and has to proceed on a project-by-project basis. It was for this reason that a dedicated charity has been set up to raise money to fund this vital research.
